Kate Doheny
Kate Doheny started her enamel pin business in 2018. With a love for drawing, bright colors, and packaging design, she brought her ideas to life. Now, people from all over the world have purchased Doheny NYC accessories.
Kate's background is in packaging design, having worked with Kylie Jenner to design the Kylie Cosmetics rebrand in 2021 as well as other exciting projects including designing the launch PR set for Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday Nails and the rebrand of Obagi Medical. More on Kate's pack background here.
“I always loved going to theme park gift shops as a kid. When I first saw souvenir pins, it was like I could take home little pieces of gold from my family vacation's metaphorical treasure chest. With my pins, I wanted to take this nostalgic feeling and build it into something more elevated, for every age.
Kate loves hearing from people who have purchased her products - and especially enjoys learning about the imaginative ways they wear her pins! Doheny NYC pins have been featured in many weddings on bridal bouquets, as groom lapels, and as party favors. They have been a whimsical addition to various outfits, serving as talking points when worn on medical scrubs, backpacks, and job interview ensembles. Often, customers purchase pins to commemorate a loved pet. The pins serve as a beautiful, lasting, and meaningful representation.
Doheny NYC has participated in many artisan markets: including Artists & Fleas in Williamsburg, Brooklyn; the GAP Headquarters Holiday Market; the Brookyln Holiday Bazaar; FAD market; Grand Bazaar; Neighbors DC Georgetown market; Georgetown Visitation’s Esprit de Noel; and the CultureFix Williamsburg Christmas Market in Virginia.
